Liverpool are said to be one team interested in the summer signing of Bayern Munich winger Douglas Costa.
The Brazilian has already been linked with a £30 million move to Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur but German source Sport Bild has reported that Liverpool are also interested.
The player himself fanned the flames yesterday, when he liked a tweet that included him in the Liverpool team for next season.
But a player Jurgen Klopp desperately wanted at Anfield appears to be trying to tempt him into a Chinese move.
Jiansu Suning midfield star Alex Teixeira was quoted as telling Naver Sports earlier this month:
“I am close to Costa and we talk often.
“We discuss the lifestyle in China and whether the investment in the Chinese Super League has helped the development of Chinese football.”

Last summer it looked likely that the Brazilian, a former team-mate of Costa’s at Shakhtar Donetsk, was all set to switch from the Ukrainian side to Liverpool.
He was a marquee target of Klopp’s, who wanted his versatility and goal-scoring ability added to the side.

However, Liverpool never managed to agree the financials on a deal and Chinese side Jiansu Suning swooped in with an incredible deal for the player, reported by The Guardian to be worth around £38 million.
Liverpool will hope that Costa does not head out to join his pal this summer.
