John Arne Riise has mocked Everton fans on Twitter for the way they celebrated the draw with Liverpool at the weekend.

Liverpool played out a goalless draw with Everton away from home at Goodison Park in the Premier League.

The result means that Jurgen Klopp’s side are now second in the league table with 70 points from 29 matches, just a point behind leaders Manchester City.

Everton fans celebrated the final result vehemently, and former Liverpool star Riise was not impressed and has mocked them on Twitter.

Blow in title challenge

Everton do not have a great record in the Merseyside derby in recent years, and the result against Liverpool was not particularly great for the Toffees.

However, what the draw has done is dent the Reds’ chances of winning the Premier League title this season.

City have a much better squad than Liverpool do, and Pep Guardiola’s side will be determined to make the most of the one-point advantage they now have over Jurgen Klopp’s team.
