Al-Nassr are reportedly closing in on the signing of Bayern Munich forward Sadio Mane, if reports are to be believed.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, The Saudi side have reached an agreement with the German champions on a fee for the 31-year-old winger and he is now set to complete a medical ahead of joining the mega-rich Saudi side.

Bayern, according to Romano, accepted the verbal proposal made by Al-Nassr and the Saudi side are now checking the paperwork on the player’s side before they proceed with the deal for the Senegalese forward.

According to German journalist Florian Plettenberg, Mane wasn’t in team training and it is unlikely that the forward will feature in a friendly for Bayern against Kawasaki as he awaits the green light to travel and undergo a medical.

Plettenberg also claims that the two sides are still negotiating the final details of the deal, which is the payment structure or the overall fee and the plan is for the former Liverpool winger to depart Bayern’s pre-season camp tomorrow.

Mane to line up with Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo, as he so often is, was seemingly the trailblazer for these top players to make the move to the Saudi Pro League. The possibility of Ronaldo and Mane playing together seems likely and certainly one that will draw the eyes of the worldwide football fanbase to the Pro League.

Mane is also set to line up alongside former Manchester United left-back Alex Telles, former Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic and former Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina.

The move will no doubt be a popular one in the division but for the player himself, at 31, it seems that this could be one of his final transfer moves before he brings to an end an illustrious career which includes Champions League, Bundesliga, and Premier League glory.
