When speaking live on BBC Radio Leeds, former Whites striker Noel Whelan was highly critical of Souleymane Doukara, and suggested that new signing Modou Barrow should have started the game instead of the Frenchman.

Garry Monk’s side were beaten 2-1 by Huddersfield Town, being brought back down to earth in the process, after heading into the game riding a wave of confidence on the back of winning eight of their previous 11 Championship outings.
And Whelan, who made 59 appearances for Leeds during a two-and-a-half year spell at Elland Road, offered his opinion on his former club’s display, highlighting an area of Monk’s team selection that he thought the manager got badly wrong, when speaking live on BBC Radio Leeds:

“Sacko can blow hot and cold, as can Doukara – you don’t know which one is going to turn up. Doukara won some headers, took people on, linked up well at times – but he didn’t do it enough. Barrow might have been a better choice, but they didn’t use him enough.”

Barrow, 24, will be hoping to receive more game-time now, and help his side in their quest to gain promotion to the Premier League.
The West Yorkshire outfit will be hoping to bounce back immediately, following their disappointing loss to Huddersfield Town, and have every chance of doing just that, with consecutive home games against Championship strugglers Cardiff City and Bristol City respectively.
