Charlie Taylor’s Leeds United career appears set to end on a sour note.
The defender is out of contract at the end of June and he was missing from Leeds’ final game of the season, a 1-1 draw at Wigan Athletic.
Leeds boss Garry Monk told BBC Radio Leeds after the game that Taylor had refused to play, amid ongoing speculation over his future.

Monk was clearly frustrated with the defender, and even if he took the unlikely decision that he wanted to stay, there is surely no way back for him.

Leeds have a very able replacement for Charlie Taylor in Gaetano Berardi, and also have youngster Tyler Denton as back-up.
It is a sorry end to Taylor’s Leeds career given how well regarded he was by supporters after breaking into the first team in 2015.
Taylor handed in a transfer request back in August which was rejected, and got on with his job to play when fit through the season, before his poor decision not to play yesterday.
