The French winger has talent, but poor end product.

Former Leeds United attacker Andy Ritchie has been commenting on the frustrating displays of French winger Hadi Sacko during his time at Elland Road.

The talented attacker joined Leeds on loan from Sporting Lisbon in the summer and has gone on to become a key member of the team.

Ritchie spoke about the talent of Sacko during commentary on BBC Radio Leeds, and suggested the winger might occasionally need a slap from Monk:

“I think managers need to be as patient as they can be with players like Sacko, but not too patient – you have to smack him round the head a few times as well! He would be frustrating to play with but he has a tremendous amount of talent, and it’s about coaching that out of him.

“You’d both love and hate to manage him. You have to make him into a player who can terrorise other teams on a regular basis, and not all flair players can do that all the time.”

There is no doubt that Sacko is a very dangerous layer at the Championship level.

His pace and directness have been a massive boost to Garry Monk’s side and he is a popular member of the Leeds team.

However, he can be a frustrating winger. His end product needs major improvement and he often makes the wrong decision in the final third.

He is still young and if Leeds could get his end product up to scratch they would certainly have themselves a real star in the making.

At the moment he remains a dangerous, but unpredictable, threat for Leeds on the wing. Hopefully Monk can get the consistency into his game.
