Alfonso Pedraza, who had a loan spell at Leeds United in 2017, has won the European Under-21 Championship with Spain.

Alfonso Pedraza came to Leeds United, failed to make a huge impact and left, but now he is a European champion.
Pedraza spent the second half of the 2016-17 campaign on loan at Leeds from Spanish club Villarreal.
Much was expected of the Spain Under-21 international winger when he arrived at Elland Road, but the 23-year-old failed to make a huge impact at the West Yorkshire outfit.
According to WhoScored, the 23-year-old made eight starts and six substitute appearances for the Whites, scoring one goal in the process.

It was not a very fruitful loan spell for Pedraza at Leeds, and the decision of the Championship club not to extend his loan spell or try to sign him on a permanent basis did not really come as a surprise.
Pedraza, though, has progressed since then, and he was part of the Spain Under-21 international who have just won the European Under-21 Championship.
The 23-year-old is getting better, and he could become a star player in the coming years.
