Former Leeds United CEO approves of decisions current owner is taking.

Andrea Radrizzani, Owner of Leeds United looks on during the Sky Bet Championship match between Bristol City and Leeds United at Ashton Gate on October 21, 2017 in Bristol, England.

Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani made a grand gesture this week by handing an honorary club role to the widow of a former club president.

The club website reported that Patricia, Dowager Countess of Harewood, was appointed Honorary Club President, in respect to her husband who held the role between 1961 and 2011.

While just a small token of appreciation, it demonstrates how club owner Andrea Radrizzani is set on making Leeds a community club once again.

The move was welcomed by former Leeds chief operating officer Matt Child, who worked for the club under Massimo Cellino for four months from late 2014 to 2015.

Radrizzani has been busy behind the scenes at Leeds trying to get the club back to it’s roots.

He has revived the club’s women’s team, and created a Legend’s Club at Elland Road where fans can interact with former players and managers.

The honorary president role may just be a grand title, but it is a show of respect to a family who have loyally supported the club for decades.
