The pair had a tough ride against Cambridge United striker Uche Ikpeazu.
Leeds United scraped through their FA Cup third-round tie with Cambridge United this week – in a tough game.
The League Two side proved a tough match-up against Leeds, forcing them to come from a goal behind.
The main star of the show from a Cambridge perspective was striker Uche Ikpeazu. The big striker was a constant thorn in the side of Leeds’ defence and it was perhaps the toughest game that Pontus Jansson has had all season.

After the game former Leeds United head coach Neil Redfearn spoke to TV Yorkshire about the performance of Ikpeazu, as well as Leeds’ defensive pairing of Jansson and Liam Cooper:
“He was too strong for them! The pair of them both gave him a chance. They took chances at the back and it’s not like them.
“But I thought second-half they sorted themselves out and tightened things up at the back.
“Leeds will be pleased that they got through.”

It was certainly a struggle for the pair against the League Two hitman – who certainly boosted his stock with this performance.
Jansson, who also picked up a booking in the game, has not been tested physically in that manner much since his arrival in England and Leeds fans will hope it doesn’t happen again anytime soon.
Up next for Leeds is Derby County in the Championship, with Jansson suspended and Cooper potentially injured.
Hopefully Kyle Bartley and Luke Ayling can do the job.
