Fleetwood Town manager Uwe Rosler believes that Leeds United chairman Massimo Cellino should look at Bristol City owner Stephen Lansdown.

Fleetwood Town manager Uwe Rosler has suggested to The Bristol Post that Leeds United chairman Massimo Cellino should take a leaf out of Bristol City owner Stephen Lansdown’s book.

Rosler has praised Lansdown for backing Lee Johnson despite City’s recent run of poor form. According to The Bristol Post, the Robins have lost nine of their last 11 games.

Fleetwood manager Rosler has praised Lansdown for not taking any drastic actions. The former Manchester City forward has also stated that Leeds chairman Cellino should look at the City owner.

Rosler was appointed the Championship club’s head coach in May 2015, but the German was dismissed in October following a run of poor results.

“Bristol City are very lucky to have an owner like him (Lansdown),” Rosler told The Bristol Post. “He has allowed his manager to bring in three new players in the first week of the transfer window and that is very rare in the Championship these days.

“Results have not been as good as they would like, but the owner is patient and backs his manager. Are you watching Mr Cellino?

“Bristol City have a very good coach and an owner who is prepared to support him by giving him time and allowing him to bring in very good players.”

Rosler’s dismissal as the Leeds head coach may have been harsh, but the Elland Road outfit have not done too badly since then.

Under head coach Garry Monk this season, the West Yorkshire outfit have established themselves as genuine contenders for the Championship playoffs.

Leeds, who will take on Derby County at Elland Road in the league on Friday evening, have also progressed to the fourth round of the FA Cup this season.
