Former Leeds owner Cellino’s latest actions continue to show he’s total opposite of Andrea Radrizzani

Former Leeds owner is struggling in Brescia.

Andrea Radrizzani ignored calls to sack manager Thomas Christiansen over the international break, preaching ‘togetherness’.

Under former owner Massimo Cellino, Christiansen would be long gone.

Cellino is now the owner at Brescia, and has already sacked one manager already this season.

But results are not improving, with Brescia sitting in 15th place (familiar Leeds fans?).

Cellino is getting more and more frustrated, and has now focused his ire on the players.

He is currently in Miami but reached out to website Brescia In Gol to issue a statement calling out the players.

Here are some of the snippets from his 237 word rant: “You can put all the lions you want on the shirt … but …. I would be happy if you interpret the training and the matches with the determination represented by this symbol, here in our club you accept this mediocrity very easily and without much pride.

“I expect a bit more respect and desire to grow from my players! The mediocre times have ended in Brescia! This is ‘my promise.”

Cellino is clearly trying to provoke a reaction from his players, and realises that sacking another manager is not presently the answer.

That may change if results do not improve, but the Italian’s frustration is clear.

Leeds may be on a rollercoaster ride of their own on the pitch this season in terms of results, but new owner Radrizzani is providing stability off it after a madcap Cellino era, and in seventh place there is plenty of reason to be optimistic.
