Rangers have struggled to compete on a consistent basis in the Scottish Premiership this season.
Ex-Rangers star Neil McCann spoke live on Sky Sports Now at 11:41 am on February 9th, and offered his theory on why Mark Warburton’s men have fallen so far behind fierce rivals Celtic in the race for the Scottish Premiership title.

The Gers are currently in the midst of a worrying run of form, that has seen them win just one of their last five league outings, and they have fallen to third place in the table, a full 27 points adrift of Brendan Rodgers’ Hoops side.
And McCann, who enjoyed a five year spell at Ibrox, highlighted the main reason why he believes Rangers have fallen so far behind their local rivals, when speaking live on Sky Sports Now this morning:

“Rangers fans are seeing Rangers stuttering at the minute. They went down 1-0 against Ross County at the weekend, and it could have been two or three. And against Morton, they’re going to be asked the same old questions. Can you break them down? Can you come up with something different to get the goals to win games, and on too many occasions, Rangers have failed to do that, and that’s why they are so far behind Celtic.”

Warburton has had to endure heavy criticism of late, for his inability to galvanise his team into action, after their poor run of results.
And the next few weeks will be so important, not just for Rangers’ hopes of finishing second, but also for the former Brentford manager’s aspirations of keeping his job at Ibrox.
