Charlie Adam and Kris Boyd have both hailed Rangers playmaker Josh Windass.
Charlie Adam, Joey Barton and Kris Boyd have told BBC Radio Five Live’s Football Daily that they’ve been impressed with Rangers playmaker Josh Windass.
Windass, 22, joined Rangers from Accrington over the summer having penned a pre-contract agreement with the club in January of this year.
With 17 goals in all competitions for Accrington last season, the attacking midfielder arrived at Ibrox with some real buzz and excitement – and so far, he’s shown flashes of his quality.

The son of former Aberdeen striker Dean Windass has only scored once in 12 games for Rangers, but his performances have been bright, and he looks to be a player for the future for Mark Warburton’s men.
Despite some injury problems this term, Windass has already been attracting interest, as The Scottish Sun reported earlier this week that Derby County and Newcastle United are both interested in signing Windass during the upcoming transfer window.

Windass looks unlikely to leave Ibrox in January, but the rumours are a sign of how impressive he has been when fit enough to play for Warburton’s side – and three former Rangers players have commented on his displays.
Stoke ace Charlie Adam noted to BBC Radio Five Live’s Football Daily that Rangers are now buying players from the lower leagues of England rather than raiding Scottish rivals, and whilst he suggested that Accrington to Rangers is a massive step up, he feels Windass has done well.
Former team-mate Joey Barton feels Windass has done okay so far at Rangers, whilst Kris Boyd claimed that the playmaker has been one of the better players to arrive at Ibrox over the summer, and really has something special to his game.

“You look at Rangers, before they would go and buy players from Hibs, now they’ve bought Windass from Accrington Stanley,” said Adam. “It’s a massive step up from Accrington going to Rangers, but he’s done really well.”
“He’s done okay,” added Barton, whilst Boyd said; “I think he’s been one of the better ones to have come in, he’s done really well and he’s had a couple of niggling injuries, but he’s got something.”
