Huddersfield Town are without a manager after sacking Jan Siewert.

The former Huddersfield Town winger Giorgos Donis has admitted that the Championship club’s managerial vacancy has ‘complicated’ things for him.
Donis, who retired at Huddersfield 19 years ago, is currently in charge of the Greek giants Panathinaikos.
But speaking to The Sun this week, the 49-year-old admitted that managing in England is one of his biggest ambitions – and appeared to throw his hat into the ring to succeed Jan Siewert at the Kirklees Stadium.
“Now this opportunity is complicated as I have another two years on my contract and the project is going really well and it is not an easy decision to move,” said Donis.
“But for me, to have experience in England as a manager is one of my biggest ambitions.
“Especially at Huddersfield where I played. I didn’t show my best as I was injured for most of the time but it is a very interesting in the Championship.
“The Championship is like the top division in many other countries because there are a lot of good clubs with history.
“Everything depends on the clubs for me. I’m happy that I’m at a big club in Greece but it is a different experience to be in England and I love English football.”

Panathinaikos are 20-times champions of Greece, but finished eighth under Donis last season – his first in charge.
As well as the Athens side, Donis has managed a string of clubs, including Larisa, AEK, PAOK, APOEL Nicosia and Al-Hilal – collecting at least 1.5 points per game at each of those.
There is no indication yet as to whether Huddersfield have either approached or been approached by their former player, after sacking Siewert on Friday.
