The young Toffees have been superb for the club recently.
Everton continued their good recent form with a stunning 6-3 win against Bournemouth in the Premier League at the weekend.
It was a performance more reminiscent of the Roberto Martinez era at Everton, where defending went out of the window at times.
The Spaniard, now national coach for the Belgian international team, was speaking about the club recently on Sky’s Goals on Sunday.
Everton’s Ross Barkley with manager Roberto Martinez after being substituted
In quotes from the Liverpool Echo he heaped praise on two Everton stars, who happen to be academy graduates.
Ross Barkley and Tom Davies have both been in fantastic form recently, with the latter new to this stage.
Martinez said of the pair:
“He (Barkley) is effective when he is on the pitch when he is having fun. The quality that he has, the physicality combined with the technical ability that he has is quite unique.
“You always want the perfect footballer and you want him to defend well, but when he has a smile on his face he is a very special talent. He became very important with us.
“Tom Davies has an incredible future, too. Those two combining, they are as good as you are going to get in terms of young players.”

Everton fans love a homegrown hero. Wayne Rooney, Francis Jeffers, Tony Hibbert and Leon Osman are just some of the players to have come through the system at Finch Farm.
Barkley is seemingly back to his best whilst Davies is looking like the player Tom Cleverley was supposed to be at Goodison Park.
With this local pair in top form there is no knowing what Everton can achieve going forward. Hopefully they are not the last of the prospects to come through the system at Everton.
