But the lifelong Crystal Palace supporter is unlikely to succeed Roland Duchatelet at Charlton Athletic.

The former Crystal Palace owner, Simon Jordan, has claimed he has a chance to invest in Charlton Athletic.
The controversial Charlton owner, Roland Duchatelet, is looking to sell the newly-promoted Championship club.
But talks with potential buyer, Mehmet Dalman, collapsed on Tuesday, according to the London Evening Standard.
Discussing the latest twist in Duchatelet’s roller-coaster five-year tenure, Jordan – a lifelong Crystal Palace fan – told Jim White’s Talksport show on Wednesday. “I know this deal. I know what’s going on with this deal. I can be part of this deal if I want to.
“And I’ll be surprised, if (Duchatelet is) asking for £50 million – I’ll be amazed – if he gets anywhere near it.”
Asked to elaborate on his comments, Jordan added: “I know the shape of this deal and if I want to come to the table and own a particular part of Charlton, I can.

“I don’t want to. It’s not for me. I’m a Crystal Palace fan.
“There is not a parallel where I could want to be involved with Charlton.”
Jordan – whose father, Peter, played for Crystal Palace – spent a decade as owner of the Eagles, overseeing their 2004 promotion to the Premier League.
The 51-year-old made millions from the mobile phone industry, but has yet to reinvest in football since selling Palace nine years ago.

Just 10 miles separate the south London rivals, Crystal Palace and Charlton.
