Championship duo Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough have both been linked with £7m Hull City winger Kamil Grosicki.
Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough are both interested in signing Hull City winger Kamil Grosicki this summer, according to reports. But it seems that the Poland international has a very different move in mind.
A winger with lightning pace and a real end product, Grosicki’s impressive tally of nine goals and 12 assists for The Tigers last season appears to have caught the eye of two of the Championship’s biggest clubs.
The Sun (26 May, page 69) claimed that Forest were set to make a £2.5 million bid for a player who could fill the substantial void left by the potential departure of Joe Lolley to boyhood club Aston Villa.
The Star, however, believes that a Boro side who scored fewer goals than relegated Rotherham last season are also harbouring hope that Grosicki, who joined Hull for £7 million, could be Riverside-bound.
But Orhan Kaynak, who worked with Grosicki during his spell at Sivasspor in 2014/15, believes that the winger has no interest in joining Forest or Boro this summer.
“When I speak with him, he told me he wants to return to Turkey,” Kaynak told Salim Manev on Radyospor (18 June, 12pm), as reported by Ajansspor.
These claims should come as a disappointment to fans of both Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough, who would surely have relished the chance to see a jet-heeled international attacker like Grosicki flying down the wing at the City Ground or the Riverside.
