The Spaniard spent the first half of the season on loan at Lugo.
Leeds United made a move to sign Spanish winger Alfonso Pedraza on transfer deadline day.
He arrives from Villarreal, after impressing on loan in Spain’s second tier with Lugo, and has the option to join on a permanent deal should Leeds earn promotion. The Yorkshire Evening Post reports that fee as being in the region of £8.5 million.
But he spent the first half of this season on loan at Spanish second tier side Lugo. His good form for the club helped them to eighth in the table and they are in a fight for the play-off promotion places.

Pedraza’s exit is a big blow to Lugo’s promotion chances. Their manager Luis Cesar has been speaking about the departure of their star winger and was singing the praises of him after his exit. He told La Vanguardia:
“He has given us a lot of things and he has also benefited from us to show his benefits.
“Alfonso is gone, but we are going to play with eleven, not ten.”
Leeds will no doubt be hoping he can a similar impact at the club that he did with Lugo. He is hopefully going to become a Premier League player with the club, that is at least the plan.
Leeds fans will hope they can relish him as much as Lugo did.
