Pedro Caixinha remains the favourite for the Rangers job.

Rangers search for a new manager appears to be pointing in the direction of Portuguese coach Pedro Caixinha.
Bookies SkyBet last night had Caixinha listed as 11/10 favourite for the job, having jumped up the queue this week.
The current Al Gharafa coach is relatively unheard of in Scotland, but one player who knows him well is former Celtic midfielder Marc Crosas.
Crosas played for Celtic between 2008 and 2011, and played under Caixinha at Mexican club Santos Laguna, where the manager won three domestic trophies for the club.
He left a positive impression, with Crosas speaking highly of Caixinha after leaving the club two years ago.
Crosas told Mexican outlet La Aficion: “In the year and a half I player under Pedro, he never approached a game on the defensive, he always approaches to attack.
“[He demands] a perfect match, no mistakes at the back, win the ball, do not lose the ball, and try to take advantage of mistakes of the opponent.”

Caixinha is a pal of Jose Mourinho, the Daily Record reported, and the pair share a managerial trait – putting pressure on referees and mind games.
Crosas added: “Pedro is a very smart coach. It may be that he is looking for extra motivation for his players. During the game nobody thinks the referees can benefit you.”
If he lands the Rangers job, Caixinha will have to be at his very smartest if he is to help them overhaul Celtic’s runaway success.
