Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic are running away with the Scottish Premiership title this season.
David Hay has suggested in The Glasgow Evening Times that Celtic should not become complacent.
Celtic are going strong in the Scottish Premiership at the moment and are running away with the league title.
The Bhoys are currently at the top of the league table with 79 points from 27 matches, 27 points clear of second-placed Aberdeen.
Brendan Rodgers’s side have yet to lose a single match in the league this season, and given the way they are playing at the moment, it is hard to see them suffer a defeat in the coming weeks and months.
Former Celtic midfielder and manager Hay has warned the Hoops against getting complacent.
“I honestly think that the only team who could beat Celtic are Celtic themselves,” Hay wrote in The Glasgow Evening Times.
“It is only a degree of complacency that will prevent them from going unbeaten and winning the Treble – and I just don’t think that Brendan Rodgers is the kind of guy who will allow that to happen.”
As Hay warns, Celtic cannot get complacent and must continue to work hard in order to win matches.
It is hard to see name a team who could get the better of the Hoops this season. Holding the Hoops to a draw is possible, but winning against Rodgers’s team? Probably not.
Celtic will take on St Mirren in the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup on Sunday afternoon.
