Leicester City rightfully picked up the plaudits after their momentous win last night, but they were helped by a truly woeful performance from Liverpool.

The Reds have won only one Premier League game in 2017, this coming in their previous match against Tottenham Hotspur.

Former boss Roy Evans hit out at Liverpool’s performance, commenting that he felt they never looked like winning.

The loss puts manager Jurgen Klopp under a little more pressure, and harms their chances of finishing in the top four.

Fans had hoped Liverpool had turned the corner with their impressive win over Tottenham Hotspur a fortnight ago, but this appears to have been more of a one off than the start of a trend.

Liverpool remain in fifth place, just one point ahead of rivals Manchester United, whose form is putting pressure on all the teams chasing Chelsea and trying to finish inside the top four.
