Leeds United central midfielder Kalvin Phillips is reportedly on Aston Villa’s radar.

The former Villa striker said that he rates Phillips highly and praised him for his performances for Leeds this past season.
According to The Mirror, Villa are interested in signing the 23-year-old central midfielder from Leeds in the summer transfer window and are planning to make a bid of £14 million.
Bent said about Phillips on talkSPORT (5:51pm, June 14, 2019): “I like him a lot. I really rate him as well. I thought he was brilliant in the playoffs against Derby, and I think he was brilliant all season to be fair.”

Quality footballer
Phillips is one of the best central midfielders in the Championship and has established himself as a key figure in the current Leeds team.
According to WhoScored, the 23-year-old scored one goal and provided three assists in 44 Championship appearances for the Whites this past season.
The youngster was also deployed as a central defender from time to time by Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa in 2018-19.
Phillips would be a very good signing for Villa in the summer transfer window, but Leeds have to do their best to hold onto the youngster in their quest to finish in the top two of the Championship table next season.
