Lee Dixon has taken a dig at Tottenham Hotspur on Twitter following Arsenal’s win against Newcastle United on Monday evening.

Arsenal got the better of Newcastle 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium in North London to leapfrog Tottenham in third place in the Premier League table.

The Gunners are third in the Premier League table at the moment with 63 points from 31 matches, two points clear of fourth-placed and bitter North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Former Arsenal right-back Dixon was following the match, and he has taken a dig at Tottenham on Twitter following the win for the Gunners.

Hope and optimism

Arsenal are playing well at the moment, and the Gunners are also in a good run of form.

The North London outfit have some very good players, and the Emirates Stadium faithful should be hopeful and optimistic about finishing in the top four of the Premier League this season.

Tottenham, Manchester United and Chelsea are all challenging for the Champions League places this campaign.
