Jay Bothroyd suggests that the Leicester City striker would not be a good signing for Arsenal, just like former Everton man Francis Jeffers was not.

Jay Bothroyd has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy would be a failure at Arsenal.
According to The Mirror, Arsenal are interested in signing Vardy from Premier League rivals Leicester in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that Gunners will have to pay the Foxes a transfer fee of £20 million and a weekly salary of £120,000 to the striker.

Vardy was one of the best players for Leicester this past season, scoring 24 goals and creating 46 chances in 36 Premier League matches.
Former Arsenal prospect Bothroyd, who is now on the books of Jubilo Iwata, does not think that Vardy would be a good signing for the North London outfit.
The former Wolverhampton Wanderers and Queens Park Rangers striker has predicted the 29-year-old to suffer the same fate at Arsenal as Francis Jeffers.

Jeffers started his professional club career at Everton and joined the Gunners in the summer of 2001 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport at the time to be worth £10m.
The former English striker could make just over 20 Premier League appearances for Arsenal and left the club in 2004.
