Ashley Cole enjoyed watching his former team lose 6-0 to his current side Chelsea.

In what was Arsene Wenger’s 1,000th game in charge of The Gunners his Arsenal side were given an absolute pasting.

Chelsea ran rampant in a 6-0 thrashing which saw plenty of talking points – not least the red card given to Kieran Gibbs – but the biggest one of all has to be the scoreline.

And one man who seemed to revel in the gluttony of goals is a player who received his big break from Wenger.

Ashley Cole was a youngster at Arsenal when Wenger decided to give him a chance in the first-team. He broke into the fold back in the year 2000 and went on to cement his position at left-back at the club.

Of course he left the club in somewhat acrimonious circumstances back in 2006 and is now a vilified figure at The Emirates.

He was unfit for today’s game – out with a knee injury – but he was enjoying the match from the treatment room.

And he was celebrating from pretty early on!
