Former Arsenal youngster and Derby County loanee Nacer Barazite is currently at Utrecht.
Former Arsenal academy forward Nacer Barazite got his pre-season off to a flier at the weekend.
Barazite, now 25-years-old, scored four times for FC Utrecht in a 8-0 victory over Dutch amateur side SV Zevenhoven.
The once highly promising striker played three first team games for Arsenal, eventually departing for Austria Vienna in 2010.
He spent a year on loan at Derby County in 2008/09, but struggled to find the net.
Since leaving Arsenal he spent two seasons at AS Monaco, and signed for FC Utrecht 12 months ago.
The former Dutch under-21 international scored only twice in 16 games for the club last season, so bagging four at the weekend regardless of the opposition will come as a huge confidence boost for him.
The attacker had trials with Rangers in 2010, as reported The BBC at the time. His most prolific season came in 2011/12 for Austria Vienna when he scored 19 goals in 33 games, earning his Monaco move, but has failed to recapture this form since then.
The weekend’s goal glut was a good early sign that this could be his season to do so.
