Tottenham Hotspur are beginning to turn the tide in north London, and are on the verge of eclipsing Arsenal.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger
Former Spurs and Gunners star David Bentley sat down for an exclusive interview with popular betting company 888sport, and explained how Mauricio Pochettino’s men have closed the gap on Arsene Wenger’s side, and must now be at least considered as equals with their bitter rivals.
Tottenham currently sit in second position in the Premier League table, nine points clear of Arsenal in sixth, although they have played a game more than the Gunners.
And the vibes emanating from White Hart Lane and the Emirates could not be any more different.
Whilst the Gunners have failed to tie down their star men to new long-term deals, Spurs have managed to get pretty much all of their key men to commit their futures to the club.
And Bentley, who represented both Tottenham and Arsenal, told 888sport how Pochettino’s men will cement their status as the top dogs in north London if they finish above Wenger’s troops in the league this season:

“Arsenal were ahead but Tottenham have brought it back to a level par. It’s pretty evenly fought out at the minute but if Tottenham do finish above them they’re probably up there.”
The two sides are due to meet each other at White Hart Lane on April 30th, and it could very well turn out to be one of the most pivotal North London Derbies in recent history.
