Former Arsenal forward Theo Walcott has said on talkSPORT (5:37pm, January 12, 2023) that he would not join Tottenham Hotspur even if Spurs offered him £1 million per week.
Walcott, now at Southampton, is a former Arsenal player, and the Englishman has made it clear that he would never ever move to Tottenham.
As we all know, Arsenal and Tottenham are bitter North London rivals.
And they will face each other in the Premier League this weekend.
While Arsenal are aiming to win the Premier League title this season, Tottenham are looking to finish in the top four.
Former Arsenal star Theo Walcott on potentially joining Tottenham Hotspur
Walcott said when asked if he would join Tottenham for £500,000-a-week: “No, I am not doing that. No chance.
“Maybe £1 million. Nah, I am joking. Not at all. No chance.
“You wouldn’t even see me with a Tottenham shirt anywhere.”

Spurs unlikely to come for Walcott
Theo Walcott was on the books of Arsenal from 2006 until 2018.
Now 33, the English forward, who earns £75,000 per week now (Spotrac), is past his prime and is playing for Southampton.
While Walcott was a very good player in his prime, there is no way that Tottenham Hotspur will come for him now.
Not that Spurs would have been interested in him before.
But, now, no way.
While it is very encouraging to see a former Arsenal player make it clear that he would not join Tottenham and show some loyalty towards his old club, there is no way that Spurs would offer him £500,000 per week.
