Kun Temenuzhkov has vowed to ‘work hard’ on his second loan away from Leeds United.
The 20-year-old striker joined the Whites in the summer of 2017 and was one of the most intriguing young players at the club.
Leeds signed the Bulgarian hitman from Barcelona’s academy but, despite impressing at Under-23 level under Carlos Corberan, the youngster managed only 11 minutes of senior football for United.
He was loaned back to Spain for a half-season loan with Segunda Division outfit La Nucia in January, though he only clocked 64 minutes before the campaign finished early due to the global health emergency.
Kun will spend the entire 2020-21 campaign at Real Union, another Segunda Division outfit.
It looks like pre-season training has begun, as the Leeds-owned talent posted a photo on Twitter and vowed to put in a shift for the campaign ahead.
This is really make or break for Kun but, even if he scores 30 goals, it could be hard for him to come back to Elland Road.
That’s because Marcelo Bielsa’s side are in the Premier League these days and there’s just nothing he can do in a division like that that’ll make the Argentine coach want to use him in the senior side.
It’s a grim reality, given how highly rated he was at Under-23 level, but men’s football is an enormous step up and it’s very unlikely he’ll ever be good enough for Bielsa’s senior set-up.
