Andy Carroll was spotted by TV cameras shaking his head and leaving the bench to storm down the tunnel during the defeat to Manchester City.

West Ham boss David Moyes was involved in what has been described as a ‘furious training ground bust-up’ with striker Andy Carroll following the 4-1 defeat to champions Manchester City, as reported by the likes of Football London.
The injury-prone forward – who has cost the Hammers over £50 million for just 33 goals in six years – was visibly angry at being being overlooked when Moyes elected to replace Patrice Evra, Edimilson Fernandes and Manuel Lazini with Arthur Masuaku, Joao Mario and Javier Hernandez respectively.
That prompted Carroll to reportedly to show his displeasure by repeatedly shaking his head and he was then spotted leaving the bench and going down the tunnel with the game still going on.

While some fans would perhaps be pleased to see players desperate to get on and help the cause, others feel it showed a distinct lack of respect for his manager, teammates and supporters.
Whatever your take on the situation what it has done is expose the former Newcastle United man as a hypocrite.
Because earlier this season Carroll slammed West Ham fans – 52,000 of whom have bought season tickets for the second consecutive campaign at the London Stadium, second only to Manchester United – for showing their displeasure by leaving games early when the side was being well beaten.
“They really should be staying,” Carroll told The Mirror about Hammers fans after a 4-1 defeat to Liverpool back in November.

“They should be staying until the end. You never know what’s going to happen. They walked out at half time against Tottenham when we were getting beat 2-0 and we turned it round.
“Fans should stay until the end, regardless of the team.”
Perhaps Carroll needs to learn to be a team player first before preaching to others, particularly given his pathetic appearance record for a club that has been so patient and reliant on him over the last six years.
The same club paying and fans who are footing the bill for his £90,000 per week wage packet.
