Leeds United’s form is the real reason for the club to assess their situation.

Leeds United are in a strong position right now at the top of the Championship.
Their first place position looks even healthier considering the transfer window is open, allowing the club to strengthen further. They might want to do so while they still can.
Forget all the Spygate furore, Leeds have limped along over the past month since the euphoria of their dramatic comeback wins against Blackburn and Aston Villa in December.
The back to back 3-2 victories put Leeds clear at the top of the Championship, only for their lead to be eroded over the past month.
Three defeats from four games has Leeds only one point clear of second placed Norwich. West Brom and Sheffield United lurk four points behind the Whites.

The form table for the past six games has Leeds in 11th position, with a goal difference of -1.
There are 18 games remaining and Leeds can’t carry on as they have done for the past six matches and expect to win promotion.
Of course after their terrific start to December, seven consecutive wins, there was always going to be a blip, but the 2-1 loss to Stoke at the weekend showed the 2-0 victory over Derby had not erased it.
This weekend Leeds face a Rotherham side which have lost five of their last six. Anything less than three points will set off alarm bells.
The past four games games – including three losses – should show Leeds need help in the transfer market, and the club must step up their efforts over the final few days of the window.
