Antonio Conte is being targeted by Juventus, and inevitably, there’s plenty of speculation about which Spurs players could follow him to Turin.

According to CalcioMercatoWeb, Conte will target Heung-Min Son if he ditches Spurs for Juventus, but we can’t help but think that there’s another key figure from Tottenham he may ask for if he goes back to Turin.

No, it’s not Harry Kane, in fact, it’s not a player at all. We think that if Conte heads back to Juventus he could ask for Fabio Paratici to go along with him.

Paratici was, of course, key to Conte coming to Spurs, and these two have a brilliant working relationship together.

Juventus aren’t just in need of a new manager, they need a structural reboot, and if any double-act is going to be able to do that, it’s Conte and Paratici.

They’ve already done it once before in the early 2010s, and after flip-flopping between Europe’s elite in recent years, Conte will surely be looking to settle down for a long-term project if he’s going to go back to Juve.

Paratici knows Juventus like the back of his hand, and he may well be tempted into a return if Conte jumps ship. After all, if the gaffer leaves Spurs, what does that say about the north London club’s current level of ambition?

Of course, this is all hypothetical based on Conte actually taking the Juventus job, but with these rumours continuing to gather momentum, we have to wonder whether or not Paratici would follow him out of north London to reform the partnership that made Juventus by far and away the best team in Italy during Conte’s first spell at the club.

This isn’t imminent, but if Conte does decide to take the Juventus job, it may be worth keeping an eye on any potential approach for Paratici as well.
