There are just two weeks to go in the transfer window, and as things stand Arsenal, and Edu, have a lot to do.
New signings will be at the top of most fans’ agenda, but it seems as though there is a more pressing matter.
Indeed, Fabrizio Romano’s recent update from within the Gunners’ dressing room shows that outgoings are just as important as incomings this summer.
Romano says that there’s a bit of a negative atmosphere brewing in the dressing room, due to the fact there are too many players in the same positions.

Romano notes that due to the squad being rather bloated, some players are feeling a bit miffed, and while that isn’t too much of an issue right now, the journalist claims that this could develop into an issue.
It’s one thing to have an underperforming squad – and believe us, Arsenal do have that problem, but it’s another matter entirely if the dressing room turns toxic.
If people are turning up day in, day out unhappy, then results on the pitch will inevitably be affected, and no number of signings will be able to change that.
Just look at how a team like Chelsea collapsed back in 2015/16 amid a dressing room rift, and they were the reigning champions.
If Arsenal were to go through a similar mutiny behind the scenes a season after finishing eighth, who knows how low they can go?
Luckily, there is time to change things. The transfer window is open and the fat can be trimmed from this squad.
There is time for the likes of Willian, Sead Kolasinac, Lucas Torreira and Hector Bellerin, who seemingly aren’t in Mikel Arteta’s plans, to be moved on, and while new signings would be nice, saving the dressing room atmosphere is a more pressing matter, especially after Romano said that there’s a problem bubbling beneath the surface.
Buying players is often seen as the most important thing in a transfer window, but right now, Edu and Arsenal’s focus has to be moving players on.
