What do Real Madrid wonderkid Marco Asensio and West Ham United legend Paolo Di Canio have in common… quite a lot actually.

Asensio has taken Europe by storm in the last few months, starring for Spain Under 21s at the European Championships over the summer and continuing that form for Madrid.
But he made the headlines for a more bizarre reason recently when he was forced out of Real Champions League tie against APOEL Nicosia after picking up an infection from shaving his legs.
The young Spaniard had to miss training and boss Zinedine Zidane told the press the player had a ‘pimple which stopped him pulling up his socks.’

An ABC Espana report later revealed the infection had been suffered after the youngster had shaved his legs, with Real Madrid later confirming the news.
Asensio shaving his legs suddenly became the hot topic being debated by fans and pundits alike on social media and radio phone-ins.
The general consensus was the incident was proof that ‘the game’s gone’.
But apart from being absolutely fantastic footballers in their own right it appears Asensio has a lot in common with Wst Ham legend Paolo Di Canio… who used to go a whole lot further than the Los Blancos starlet.

That’s because the madcap Italian used to shave his entire body head to toe in the Hammers changing rooms on a regular basis.
Former teammates have recalled Di Canio’s preference to go hairless and the player also talks about it in his autobiography.
And poor old Asensio has been getting it in the neck just for shaving his legs.
