The Yorkshire Evening Post report that they remain keen on such a deal.

But have Leeds got the right club, but the wrong player?

Instead Leeds might want to consider a move for talented young Spaniard Toni Martinez.

The 19-year-old arrived from Valencia in the summer and has certainly impressed since becoming a Hammer.

In 10 games for the West Ham development team he has managed to score an impressive 12 goals and Leeds would surely be getting a great option if they signed him up.

With a Spanish speaking assistant in Pep Clotet and an experienced Spanish player like Pablo Hernandez also in the Leeds set-up it could certainly be a good move for the teenager and one that might benefit West Ham in the long-run.
