Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after watching RB Salzburg’s Dominik Szoboszlai play against Bayern Munich.
Why did Arsenal fans care about his display?
Well, the Hungary international is being targeted by the Gunners as an alternative to Lyon’s Houssem Aouar and a long-term successor to Mesut Ozil, according to Fabrizio Romano (via The Express).
The 20-year-old has been in great form so far this season, scoring eight goals while recording five assists in all competitions.
While he couldn’t add to his goal involvements against Bayern Munich, he did perform impressively in RB Salzburg’s defeat to the Champions League holders.
According to SofaScore, Szoboszlai registered four key passes and created one big chance. The Budapest-born playmaker also recorded six successful crosses, and won two free-kicks from the Bundesliga outfit.
Additionally, he won two ground duels and one aerial duel, while also managing to have a shot on target at Manuel Neuer’s goal.
Szoboszlai did, however, lose possession on 14 occasions. Having said that, things like that tend to happen when you put the ball at risk as much as he does.
Despite his side being on the end of a hammering, Arsenal fans appear to have been left impressed by the RB Salzburg star’s display against Hansi Flick’s men.
