Middlesbrough should consider raid on West Ham for boyhood Boro fan Jordan Hugill.

Middlesbrough are still cursing their decision to sign Ashley Fletcher for £6.5 million from West Ham last summer.
The manager who made that deal, Garry Monk, has since been sacked and Fletcher sent on loan to Sunderland… but this should not put Middlesbrough off another raid on West Ham this summer.
West Ham spent £8 million on signing Hugill from Preston in January but they have not given him a chance, with manager David Moyes seemingly unimpressed.

Hugill has Championship experience and could be useful for Middlesbrough if they fall short in their promotion quest this season.
Even if they do win promotion through the play-offs, Hugill could be useful, and his physical style could work for Middlesbrough boss Tony Pulis.

A loan move would be low risk for Boro, ideal after the Fletcher disaster, and it’s a move Hugill would jump at.
He is a self-confessed Middlesbrough fan, telling the Gazette: “I was a Middlesbrough season ticket holder from the age of 10 up until I turned 16, when I started playing regular Saturday football.”
