Wisla Krakow supporters were furious to learn that Wolverhampton Wanderers target Aleksander Buksa will not be signing a new contract, with News Futbol reporting that the forward has been labelled ‘Judas’.
After months of sustained speculation, it never felt likely that this story would have a particularly happy ending.
Despite verbally agreeing a new contract with the Ekstraklasa outfit last year, nothing was ever signed.
And, speaking to Interia last week, Tomasz Jazdzynski, chairman of Wisla’s supervisory board, confirmed that Buksa had made up his mind.
“He will fulfill the contract until June and then he will leave,” said Jazdzynski.
“Aleksander Buksa was summoned by the management board last Friday to fulfil the promise he made with his father and sign the contract in the version in which it was agreed last August.

“And he refused sign. to Therefore, no further talks with Aleksander Buksa will be conducted. Case is closed. He will complete his contract by June and then leave.”
Rather than take sympathy with a teenage forward who has been offered the chance to test himself in the Premier League, Wisla fans are expressing their fury in the way only football supporters can – by draping homemade banners over the club’s training base.
“Buksa Judas!’, reads one. ‘You sold yourself for the money!’, says another, with pictures of the banners provided by Futbol.pl.
According to Sportowe Fakty, Wolves are watching the situation closely.
Buksa is represented by super-agent Pini Zahavi and his relationship with a certain Jorge Mendes has apparently opened the door to Molineux.
