Antonio Conte is planning to speak with Daniel Levey and Fabio Paratici in the coming days to discuss Tottenham Hotspur’s January transfer plans, via quotes by football.london.
The Italian is still running the rule over the ranks he adopted in north London from Nuno Espirito last month. But Spurs’ covid crisis has limited his opportunities to cast judgement on their regular and fringe players.
Tottenham had to postpone their Europa Conference League match against Rennes and Premier League matches with Brighton and Leicester. The Foxes trip was pushed back after Brendan Rodgers’ side submitted a second request following further positive covid cases.

Spurs’ fixture pile-up also follows heavy snow forcing their trip to Burnley to be postponed. So, Conte has had four fewer games to assess where Tottenham are strong and where he, Managing Director Paratici and Chairman Levy will need January transfers to improve.
Conte wants Levy, Paratici talks to discuss Tottenham transfers
Conte wanted to use Tottenham’s December fixtures as a chance to see which players had a future in north London. But their backlog of games has cost some players their chance to show what they can offer under the Italian.
The Spurs boss now wants to speak with Levy and Paratici to map out their January plans. As on top of having fewer chances to run the rule, managing the crisis has been his priority.
“In this moment, we are not thinking about the transfer window,” Conte said. “We have had many, many problems to face and solve.

“It was very difficult to speak about other topics. For sure, in the next days we’ll try to have a meeting to speak about the situation to see if there is a way to improve the squad.
“In this moment, I’m having an evaluation of the whole squad. Covid does give a chance for someone to show they deserve to continue to play for Tottenham.”
Players could face four games to save their futures at Spurs
At present, Tottenham will return to action at home to title-chasing Liverpool on December 19. The match will be their first in two-weeks if the Reds’ trip to north London takes place.
Spurs then host West Ham United before Crystal Palace visit on Boxing Day and they visit Southampton on December 28. So, those on Conte’s fringes could have four games before the January transfer window opens to prove their worthiness to Tottenham’s future plans.
