Speaking on the BBC Match of the Day Top 10 Podcast, Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer and Micah Richards have been speaking about reported Arsenal target Eden Hazard.
The Match of the Day lads were tasked with naming the 10 greatest number 10s of the Premier League era, and somewhat unsurprisingly, Eden Hazard was near the top of that list.
The Belgian could be on his way back to the Premier League soon with Arsenal, and according to Richards, he was once the very best player in this division.
What’s been said?
The pundits had their say on Hazard.
“Eden Hazard we’ve not spoken about yet, he was obviously unbelievable at Chelsea, but he’s been injured and struggled at Real Madrid,” Lineker said.
“When he was in the Premier League he was the best player in the league, for one season at least,” Richards said.
“He was their go-to guy wasn’t he?” Shearer added.

Premier League great
There’s no doubt about it, Hazard is a Premier League great.
The winger just knew how to get the better of almost every defence in this league, and he seemed so perfectly suited to English football.
As Richards says, for a spell he was the best player in the Premier League, and if he came back to England, be it with Arsenal or Newcastle, we’re sure he would once again light England up.
Things haven’t worked out for him in Madrid, but Hazard’s Premier League legacy is already secured.
