Villa desperately need a new right-back to remove the pressure off of Alan Hutton.

Football London have reported that Watford could be willing to sell right-back Marc Navarro for a bargain £4million this month after struggling in his first months at Vicarage Road – and Aston Villa have to consider a move.
Navarro, 23, has only managed four appearances for Watford in all competitions since joining the club from La Liga side Espanyol and could be surplus to requirements should an offer come in this month.
At £4million, Navarro is a bargain buy with the defender having the majority of his career ahead of him and and certainly showing last season for Espanyol that he is capable of plying his trade at Championship level.
In 36 appearances for Espanyol, Navarro instantly gained plaudits for his efforts on the right side of the defence – scoring three goals and creating four more in assists, as well as helping his side keep 10 clean sheets.
Villa desperately need a right-back. Ahmed El Mohamady has struggled this season and his flaws were made clear by Leeds United’s Jack Clarke in the 3-2 loss to the Championship’s leaders.
Meanwhile, Alan Hutton continues to remain first choice, but he has filling in for the injury-prone Neil Taylor as much as he is playing in his more natural position of right-back.

Adding a right-back is key, then. Dean Smith has sorted two of Villa’s problem areas in goal with the signing of Lovre Kalinic and central defence by adding Kourtney Hause.
Now, Smith has to add cover at full-back and £4million for a player that has shone at La Liga level in Navarro is an excellent signing.
