The Real Madrid man would be an exceptional signing for Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs fans are beginning to grow seriously frustrated with their side’s lack of activity in the transfer market this summer, especially with all of their direct rivals spending heavily on new recruits during the off-season.
Tottenham have been linked with Real Madrid Mateo Kovacic in recent weeks, however. Football.London claim that Los Blancos could sell the Croatian for £33 million, and for that price, the Lilywhites quite simply cannot afford to miss out on the Madrid man.
The 23-year-old ace moved to the Bernabeu from Inter Milan in the summer of 2015, but with such vast amounts of talent ahead of him in the midfield pecking order at Madrid, he has found it hard to establish himself as a first-team regular for Zinedine Zidane’s men.

He is undoubtedly talented, however, and could reach even new heights if given the opportunity of regular first-team football with Spurs.
The 36-capped Croatia international possesses all of the attributes that Mauricio Pochettino looks for in a player. He is young, comfortable in possession of the football, and has an engine that is the envy of many of his peers.
Whilst Victor Wanyama has undoubtedly proven himself to be a huge asset to the Tottenham side, his ball dispersion skills are very much limited, and that is where Kovacic could really make a difference for Spurs.
He would add a certain level of potency to Mauricio Pochettino’s side’s attacking play, despite his deeper-lying midfield position, and would ease some of the burden on the shoulders of the Lilywhites’ more creative players.
And in a market that has quite frankly gone mad, £33 million for a player of the Madrid man’s ilk surely must be viewed as wonderful business for Tottenham, if they can indeed get a deal for the Croatian over the line.
