Football fans may have noticed the 38-0 game appearing across social media, with screenshots of drafted teams and perfect-season attempts showing up on timelines.

Much like Wordle, the appeal is easy to understand. The premise is simple, the games are quick and the challenge is repeatable enough to keep players coming back for another go.

The concept is straightforward. Build a Premier League squad, simulate a season and try to win every single league match.

That means 38 wins from 38 games, with no draws, no defeats and no room for error.

What is the 38-0 football game?

The 38-0 football game is a squad-building challenge focused on creating a Premier League team through a random draft.

Players are presented with options from different eras, allowing teams to mix modern stars, past legends and cult favourites.

The aim is to simulate a perfect Premier League season, recording 38 wins from 38 matches.

That is why the game has spread so quickly. It takes one of football’s most unrealistic goals and turns it into a quick, repeatable online challenge.

The Wordle comparison is not exact, but it fits. The game is easy to pick up, fast to play and simple to share.

It also has the same frustration loop. A close call makes the next attempt feel necessary rather than optional.

How do you play 38-0 and what is the best strategy?

To play 38-0, users draft a Premier League squad from random options before simulating a season.

The game is available on the PL XI 38-0 Perfect Cup page, where the goal is to build a side strong enough to go through an entire campaign without drawing or losing.

Matches are simulated quickly, and a full season can be completed in minutes.

Success is not just about picking the biggest attacking names. Many players struggle because they draft high-rated forwards early and end up short in defence.

There are usually more elite wingers and strikers available later on, so it often makes sense to fill defensive positions first.

Other recommended settings include playing on easy mode, displaying prime ratings and using all-time Premier League rosters.

Still, nothing guarantees a perfect season. Even the strongest squads can fall short.

There is also a Championship version called 46-0, which extends the challenge across a longer second-tier season.

In 46-0, players can simulate each match individually and make signings during the January transfer window.

It is a simple formula, but it works. A clear target, quick results and just enough frustration to make one more attempt feel worthwhile.
