Speaking on the Sky Sports Football YouTube channel, reported Arsenal target Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been speaking about his admiration for Thierry Henry.
Calvert-Lewin has been strongly linked to the Gunners, and he says that the Arsenal legend is actually his footballing idol.
The Everton star was playing a game of ‘never have I ever’ and he was asked if he’d ever met his footballing idol.
Calvert-Lewin revealed that Henry was the player he admires the most, but he’s never actually had the chance to meet him.
What’s been said?
The striker spoke about almost meeting Henry.
“Never have I ever met my footballing idol?” Calvert-Lewin was asked.
“I have never, mine is Thierry Henry and I remember after an Arsenal away game one time. I just got into the car park and Henry was stood there. I was tempted to get out and introduce myself but I bottled him, it was a couple of years ago,” Calvert-Lewin said.

Might get the chance
Calvert-Lewin may not have met Henry yet, but he may well get the chance to in the not so distant future.
Indeed, with Henry being such a regular at the Emirates to watch Arsenal, if Calvert-Lewin joins the Gunners he will surely cross paths with the Frenchman at some point.
Of course, that depends on whether or not Arsenal do firm up their interest in the Everton star. After all, it looks as though they’re more keen on the idea of signing Gabriel Jesus at the moment.
Calvert-Lewin will surely get the chance to meet Henry if he signs for Arsenal, but whether or not that move comes to fruition remains to be seen.
