Tottenham Hotspur are finally looking to push on with their managerial hunt, Football London report, with an appointment now drawing closer.
The exciting news comes after weeks of very little progress, since Jose Mourinho’s sacking.
Many pundits suggested that Tottenham must have had a replacement lined up when Mourinho left, due to the timing of his dismissal.
However, it seems that those claims were false – as Spurs have really taken their time over appointing a new manager.
It seems that the waiting is finally coming to an end though, with Spurs now finalising their list.
The names of targets have been plentiful, but strong links have been hard to come by.
It is, therefore, still not known exactly who is Tottenham’s first choice to take the job.
But Football London say that Spurs are working like that deliberately, as they want their choice to remain a surprise.

That gives an extra layer of intrigue to the latest reports, which look like good news for Tottenham fans.
Spurs’s season effectively looks to be over after their latest defeat to Leeds, and the sooner they appoint their new manager the better, as it will give them the advantage of being able to assess the squad ahead of next campaign, where the pressure will be on to improve markedly.
