So far this season, Arsenal have released Bench Cam footage showing the actions of Mikel Arteta and his staff during a win for the Gunners.

It provides a very interesting insight for supporters, and it delivered an intriguing moment from the sidelines at Vicarage Road.

What’s the story?

Well, after Bukayo Saka smashed the ball past Ben Foster into the top right corner, Arteta could be seen frantically waving for Martin Ødegaard and Gabriel Magalhães to come to the dugout.

Then, the Spaniard can be seen shouting at the pair, gesturing wildly to seemingly voice his displeasure at the two of them.

In our view, it looks like he’s asking them to move the ball quicker, but you can make your own mind up by watching the footage below.

Whatever the reason for his outburst, it’s encouraging to see this from Arteta.

Most managers would be spending this time celebrating the goal, so it speaks volumes that the 39-year-old opted to use it to get a message across instead.

Ødegaard, Gabriel and others will prosper at Arsenal

One thing that is evident from Arteta’s time at the Emirates Stadium so far is that the Spaniard can improve players.

Saka and Emile Smith Rowe have taken huge steps forward under Pep Guardiola’s former assistant, as have many others.

Ødegaard has improved significantly from his time on loan last season, whereas Gabriel – who cost £23.14m – has also been better this term.

The Norwegian is only 23, whereas Gabriel is still just 24, so the sky really is the limit for the pair at Arsenal, under a coach as bright as Arteta.
