According to the Mirror, Liverpool are interested in signing Barcelona wonderkid Pedri, who looks set to be the next Xavi at the Camp Nou.
Now, Ibrahima Konate has been seen playing FIFA 22 with the Spaniard.
The towering Liverpool defender was taking part in the Welcome To The Team PlayStation tournament, alongside Pedri and some YouTubers.
It was the Barcelona prodigy who came out on top, and their interaction will surely have Liverpool fans talking, given the transfer rumours.

Liverpool have missed the boat with Pedri
At the time of the Mirror‘s report, Pedri had a £70m release clause in his contract with Barcelona.
However, since then, the 19-year-old has signed a new deal, taking his release clause to an astronomical €1bn (£834m), according to Sky Sports.
Of course, Spanish sides often include massive release clauses in their contracts, which are rarely met.

However, the fact Pedri has one worth £834m suggests Barcelona have no intention of letting him go anywhere.
If Liverpool really wanted the Spain international, they should’ve pounced when Barcelona were on their knees financially.
Liverpool have their own Pedri
It would’ve been nice for Jürgen Klopp to bring Pedri to Anfield, as he’s an outstanding young prospect with Ballon d’Or potential.
However, the Reds have their own Pedri in Harvey Elliott.

The 18-year-old is arguably performing at a higher level than Barcelona’s prodigy, and is also a year younger.
In our view, it would be better for Klopp to put most of his focus on developing Elliott, instead of signing another young midfielder who would potentially take up some of the ex-Fulham man’s game time.
