Bukayo Saka has stated that he was ‘so happy’ for his Arsenal teammate Emile Smith Rowe after he was called up by England.
The 20-year-old also responded to claims that there is an ‘Arsenal takeover’ at St Georges’ Park by stating ‘yes, slowly’, as he told England’s official YouTube channel.
This is what Saka was asked about Smith Rowe, as he joined up with his fellow countryman for international duty.
“Have you spoken to Emile,” asked the cameraman.
Saka responded: “I spoke to him last night. Of course, he is (gassed). He messaged me last night and I was so happy for him.”

From showcasing their talents at Hale-End to now trying to help England on one of the biggest footballing stages of them all.
It has been some rise for Smith Rowe and Saka and the best part for Arsenal fans is that they are years and years away from their peak.
Saka is now a regular for his country and, if he stays fit and on track, he should be part of the World Cup squad for Qatar next year.
But Smith Rowe has a fight on his hands because, even if he performs, there is some serious ball-carrying ability ahead of him.
However, this is his chance to put his name up in lights and force his way up that midfield pecking order for England.
The likes of Phil Foden, Mason Mount and Jack Grealish, barring injuries, should be handed a plane ticket for Qatar.
Added with what they are producing on the domestic stage, even if their form is a little off leading up to that tournament, they have enough credit in the bank to be picked and trusted to perform.
