As things stand, it’s a very exciting time to support Aston Villa. Steven Gerrard is impressing at the helm, and there are some excellent players in the squad.
However, the Villans also boast some of the best young talent in the country, such as Jacob Ramsey and Carney Chukwuemeka.
In addition to those two, Gerrard has another huge prospect on his hands in Kaine Kesler, who shone for the England Under-20 side on Friday.
What’s the story?
Well, the 19-year-old lined up at right-back as England’s Under-20 side suffered a 2-0 defeat to Poland’s Under-20 prospects.

However, Kesler still managed to impress despite the loss.
Specifically, one moment – which the teenager posted a 16-second video of on Twitter – showcased what he’s all about.
As you can see, Kesler is a right-back with serious attacking intent, who may soon be making Matty Cash fear for his position.
The Birmingham-born defender has been impressing while on loan at MK Dons this season, following an eye-catching stint at Swindon too.
Kaine Kesler has a chance at Aston Villa
Fortunately for Kesler, he has a good chance of making it at Villa Park while Gerrard is in charge, as the 41-year-old is a huge admirer of his talents.
According to the Birmingham Mail, the youngster has really caught the eye of the former Rangers boss.

It is even said that Gerrard can’t wait to work with Kesler when he eventually returns to Villa Park this summer.
For Aston Villa to have Cash and Kesler as options at right-back is very encouraging, and it should be an interesting battle between them over the years.
