The Sun are reporting Leicester City are planning a January clearout with the likes of Ahmed Musa, Yohan Benalouane and Leonardo Ulloa all set to leave.

The transfer window is weeks away and Claude Puel will want to put his own stamp on the squad and free up plenty of funds. Following on from those three, here are three more who could be axed by Puel.

Daniel Amartey

Daniel Amartey had the unenviable task of trying to fill the void left by N’Golo Kante last season. He struggled with that mantle and Leicester brought in Wilfried N’Didi last January. He’s fallen further down the pecking order since the arrival of Vicente Iborra and the return of Matty James, who was on loan at Barnsley last season. The Ghanain has featured just once in the league this season.

Islam Slimani

Islam Slimani also arrived in 2016. he joined for £34m from Sporting Lisbon but the Algerian has failed to live up to his price tag.

He scored just eight goals in all competitions last season and has started just one league game this term. His style doesn’t quite fit in to the way Leicester play. He’s one of the clubs top earners and will still bring in a fairly large fee.

Aleksandar Dragovic

Austrian defender Aleksandar Dragovic joined on loan from Bayer Leverkusen on deadline day during the summer. He is yet to make a single Premier League appearance, despite a new manager coming in. He’s played just two Carabao Cup games and Puel may opt to cut his loan short while the 26-year-old will want more game time and he may only get that elsewhere.
